Dr Vincent O'Sullivan

Dr. Vincent O'Sullivan is a Lecturer in Economics at University of Limerick and a visiting researcher at the University of Lancaster.
His main strand of research examines the effect of environment, policy, and behaviours on the well-being of older people. Another strand of research, arising from his PhD, examines the determinates of educational outcomes. His research has featured in print and broadcast media in major outlets such as the BBC and The New York Times.
Dr O'Sullivan also teaches modules in Health Economics for Lancaster University

The aim of this course is to provide students with programming skills that can be used to perform data management operations and several types of statistical and econometric analysis in an efficient and reproducible way. Students will be taught the fundamentals of programming in Stata. The module will prepare students for PhD research or work as an econometrician consultant in public and private organisations.
