Dr Melvyn Weeks is a senior lecturer and fellow of Clare College, Cambridge University.
Dr Weeks is an assistant editor of the Journal of Applied Econometrics, as well as an associate at Cambridge Econometrics. His work has been published in The Economic Journal, Journal of the American Statistical Association, Journal of Applied Econometrics, European Economic Review, Computational Economics, to name but a few.

Dr Melvyn Weeks' research interests include microeconometrics, Discrete choice models, Mixture models, Differentiated demand systems in economics and marketing and Bayesian model averaging, models and tests for convergence.

Elective Module
This course will provide an introduction to simulation-based methods that are commonly used in microeconometrics. The emphasis will be Bayesian, although we will also contrast posterior analysis with maximum likelihood estimation.
